Overview
The World Leadership Corps brings promising leaders to serve for a year in NYC. With $50,000 we hope to do more work with Chinese and African leaders by placing them in NYC nonprofits. In addition, we will create an alumni network of all rising leaders from around the world working with similar programs that organize a multinational exchange of development leaders. Our model promotes cooperation between countries and leaders to address the challenges of the 21st Century. We are working to create a network where future leaders of all countries, especially the United States, China, and Africa, will play large roles in the worldwide struggles to end poverty, to preserve the environment, and to end violence within societies. We believe that a collaborative service program linking future leaders will promote a greater sense of partnership between countries in meeting 21st century global challenges. Cross cultural exchange is an important way to address social issues in NYC.
