Train Community Organizers to promote AmeriCorps in 10 cities.ServeNext.org

What does every great idea need to become a powerful movement? Great leaders, engaged citizens and high visibility. Unfortunately too many citizens and leaders don't know about the incredible work of AmeriCorps to tackle social challenges, develop civic leaders and strengthen our democracy. With a Refresh Grant, ServeNext will train, hire and support Community Organizers (COs) in 10 cities to promote the work of AmeriCorps so more people serve and more key leaders understand the incredible value of service programs. To accomplish this COs will each build grassroots networks of 100+ people that will collectively engage about 25,000. COs+the networks will educate key leaders by having them visit programs and discussing impact. To increase awareness in the cities, COs will organize online campaigns, speak at events, etc. It's never been so important for people to serve and understand the value of AmeriCorps. With a grant ServeNext can help make this happen in 10 cities!
