We have already accepted 1,000 submissions for this month, but you can fill out your application now and have it saved and ready to submit for the next round.

You will be able to submit your application starting at 12:00:01 a.m. ET on April 1st, 2010.

  • Submit idea: 2/1 to 2/15

    Applications will be accepted from the 1st through the 15th, or until we receive 1,000 ideas, whichever comes first.

  • Voting starts: 3/1 to 3/31

    Voting on accepted submissions takes place throughout the month of March. If your idea was not accepted in February, you can try again March 1st.

  • End of the month

    Ideas chosen by users to receive grants will be announced. Then the whole process starts over.

The title is the main thing voters will see so give your idea a clear, inspiring title.

This doesn't have to be a new idea. Your idea can be a fix for something that's broken.

Title Examples:

Create a public garden for Worcester, MA, tended by East Middle School.

Build a bike lane on Main St so people can ride across Santa Paula.

Open youth centers in 40 cities all over the USA.
