Overview

The 2010 Land Art Generator Initiative design competition is currently underway for sites in the UAE where the artists currently reside. The 2011 competition is to be set for locations in the American Southwest and it is for the 2011 competition that we are seeking funding.

The Land Art Generator Initiative is an international design competition for the best outdoor public art work that is conceptually engaging while at the same time produces real, usable renewable energy (hyper aesthetic RE power plants).

The 2011 USA competition will result in hundreds of inspirational designs that will push the boundary of the aesthetics of renewable energy and free innovation from the confines of market viability. Since the installations are art first, they have an intrinsic value that exceeds their capacity to create energy.

Funds go to design award prizes, exhibitions, and publications. Construction could begin in 2012-2013 based on the winning designs (would require additional funding).
