Build a skatepark in Birmingham, Al to inspire innercity kids to skatePeter Karvonen

Raise funds for a public skatepark located in Downtown Birmingham, Al.  Construct a concrete skatepark at a city park that is in need of a new spark of life.  This skatepark will get kids off the streets and in to a safe skateable area.  We will host clinics at this park for innercity kids who would like to be introduced to a sport that is economically viable for anybody.  Knowing that all people cannot afford to participate in many organized sports, skateboarding is a perfect activity for everyone. 

Skatepark plan:
    30,000 sq. ft skatepark
    All cement and metal construction
    Beginner and intermediate level obstacles
    Use city resources and supplies to design and build a very unique skating area overseen by professional skatepark builder/designer
     Incorporate Birmingham's rich history in the iron industry into the overall theme of the skatepark and its structures
