Overview
Having made only 4,000 cancer connections worldwide, Imerman Angels is already the largest 1-on-1 cancer support organization of its kind. With roughly 1.5 million* new cancer diagnoses in the U.S. each year, we want to help more people, and we want to do it faster.
It is our goal that every cancer fighter in the U.S. have free access to a cancer survivor within 24 hours of being diagnosed, and a grant from Pepsi's Refresh Project will allow us to achieve that goal by helping us improve the database we use to make cancer connections and manage volunteers.
The redevelopment of this system will have long-lasting global impact for anyone touched by cancer. Our new system will be cloud-based and scalable, allow us to quickly respond to our growth needs and limit ongoing costs. So, the benefits from Pepsi's Refresh Project will be both long-lasting and far-reaching for Imerman Angels and all the cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers we help around the world.
