GreenShields was launched in 2008 by Jonny, Azza, Talia, Blake, MollieGreenShields

GreenShields has lots to do! We have to put the "shield" in GreenShields. To do this, we have to do the research, development, computer drawings and make mechanical models to turn plexiglass into eco-magic. We plan to make a scale model of the shield and test it in a wind tunnel. We will use this model to confirm that our shield makes buses more aerodynamic and will save gas. Today, we all understand the need to save energy and pollute less. We want to use the money that would otherwise be wasted on gas and channel it towards education, especially science and green education. Our goal is to make a small impact with each bus and therefore revolutionize the transportation so central to education worldwide. Also, by having students carry out the project, GreenShields can further inspire the next generation of young great scientists, as they problem solve to make a real difference on this Earth. We're decreasing our carbon footprint, one school bus at a time.
