Overview

World Savvy provides academic and arts programming for youth and dynamic professional development for educators, to help mainstream global issues into everyday teaching and learning in the classroom across all disciplines: social studies, language, history, science, math, and more. These programs offer in-school and extracurricular support and are designed to develop students’ knowledge, skills, and values and attitudes for global citizenship. World Savvy’s unique approach effectively illuminates connections between classroom learning and real life issues – the economy, agriculture, democracy, environment, and many more – that are tangible to students and affect their daily lives, helping to increase students' engagement in learning. Currently, World Savvy's innovative global education programs serve more than 6,000 youth and 750 educators nationally each year, from offices in San Francisco, New York, and Minneapolis-St. Paul.
