Overview
It starts with a paycheck.
The right to work is at the core of every American's financial freedom and independence. Yet, millions of people--through no fault of their own--have been stripped of work by a challenging economy. Without a job, so much is at stake. Self-esteem is shot and families struggle for the basics. Neighborhoods suffer too: homes are foreclosed, shopkeepers lose customers, and malaise sets in.
Let's rescue our neighborhoods by getting America back to work.
WaggleForce, named for a dance honeybees use to communicate with the hive, will train 1,000 local leaders to launch 1,000 job clubs nationwide, each serving a minimum of 10 jobseekers. Job clubs work because they bring camaraderie and accountability. We'll tap the collective power of a community--as honeybees do--and work toward one goal: getting everyone in the hive back to work.
It's the fastest, smartest way to a paycheck, and with 15 million people unemployed, this is needed now more than ever.
