Overview

Every 5 minutes someone is diagnosed with blood cancer and every 10 minutes, blood cancer takes a precious life. Leukemia is the most common disease children in the U.S. die of. Every year, more than 10,000 men, women and children could benefit from a bone marrow transplant.

More than 19,000 DKMS donors have helped save lives by donating their bone marrow.  DKMS Donor-recruitment programs and campaigns have helped to raise international awareness of this life-threatening disease and generate a significant increase in the number of registered donors.

Rihanna has been deeply involved with DKMS, partnering with them through her own foundation, the Believe Foundation, on many initiatives.  Rihanna and DKMS are now teaming up on a registration drive that will recruit nearly 4,000 new bone marrow donors.
