Overview
The VH1 Save The Music Foundation has provided $45 million worth of new musical instruments to 1,700 public schools impacting the lives of more than 1.4 million children. In order to execute its mission, VH1 Save The Music is charged with raising funds to in turn, purchase and donate $30,000 worth of new, high-quality instruments for each grant-recipient school. The school is given the choice of choosing from band or string instruments, a keyboard lab, a guitar lab, or mariachi instruments.
Securing a Pepsi Refresh grant would allow us to grant music education to 8 deserving schools in 2010. VH1 Save The Music is currently focusing on granting in New York City, Houston, Baltimore, Denver, Jersey City, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Tulsa, Washington DC, Phoenix, Chicago, West Virginia, Hawaii, Boston and East St. Louis. A Pepsi Refresh grant would help the Foundation make a lasting impact for children living in these communities.
