Overview
Through a community grant and the generous offering of a local high school, we finally have a curtain for our community theatre. Upstart Crow Studios needs the equipment and materials to raise the curtain. We began 10 years ago with 10 students. Now we have 90 children in our Winter production of Annie and 200-300 children that come through our doors every week for dance, music, art and theatre. With our scholarship needs rising, we don't have the money for the materials to bring the curtain up on the stage that lights up with the faces of these children. We need to hear the voices of the children. We need microphones overheard and lapels so the tiniest voice can be heard. Building self confidence, team building life skills and positive opportunities for our young people, we see the power of creative expression everyday. They have something to "crow" about and they deserve to be heard! With this money we can finally finish what we began 10 years ago.
