Overview

Build a Rink and Build a Future began with a small dedicated group that grabbed national attention with the reuse of a famous rink. The temporary structure has been so successful that hundreds of volunteers seek to make the rink a permanent part of the community. A permanent rink will provide opportunities for youth and adults to participate in healthy, safe, and supervised activities all year long, from ice sports in winter to roller sports in summer. A vibrant hub of activities at the rink is proving to be an economic stimulus to the business district.

 Deliverables:
    * 3000 unique youth will use the rink within 5 months; 18,000 visits
    * A minimum of 30 hrs per week will be offered for youth sports and recreational skating
    * Continued National attention
    * $50,000 individual / corporate donations

How will the 250K be Used?

Budget Notes: The above budget does not cover the relocation of sewer lines, the installation of new storm pipe and basins, and concrete decking. Those costs will be covered by grants and private donations.
