Overview

The Center for Accessible Living (Center, CAL) has a suit closet for men in Louisville Metro area and surrounding counties, called First Impression Men’s Suits (First Impression, Suit Program). The Suit program was started to distribute free professional clothing to low income male job seekers in Louisville that need interview attire.  While Dress for Success of Louisville has been serving women in this capacity, there was no service or program meeting this need for men. The Center has recognized the overwhelming and previously unmet need for this program in the community and, since starting a pilot program, has received overwhelming referrals from community partners.

The typical individuals that benefit from the program, many of whom are veterans, ex-felons, or homeless, are all trying to start fresh. With the power of a suit and the confidence it brings, these individuals are able to become self sufficient.
