Overview
St. Mary's believes the basic goal of education is to prepare our students for life-long learning and success in a changing society. Technology offers students an avenue to succeed as citizens in a global society. To be effective in the 21st century, citizens and workers must be able to exhibit a range of functional and critical thinking skills related to information, media and technology. Technology is effective for facilitating the development of critical thinking skills in students. Technology helps move students from restating information to creating new ideas; facilitating innovative thinking in students. Technology's strength is its ability to breakdown classroom walls, figuratively speaking. Our challenge lies in having the financial resources to update our technology for 21st century learning. Updating our technology will turn our vision into reality.
