Overview

The Stewart Centers are a working tribute to Felicia Stewart, MD, who dedicated her career to connecting progressive organizations and helping them collectively leverage their work. Community meeting spaces in her name now exist in ARHP’s offices in Washington, DC and Oakland, CA. Because there is power in coming together, these spaces are available at no cost. Last year the Stewart Centers hosted over 70 events, including several innovative clinical education activities. Videoconferencing technology allows for bi-coastal and multi-site meetings, thus reducing costs for hosts. With a Pepsi Refresh grant, ARHP will launch a Stewart Center Outreach & Education Campaign to promote availability of the Stewart Centers to a broad audience of nonprofits and provide additional technologies to enhance the auxiliary room in the Washington, DC space. It will also allow ARHP to offer additional innovative continuing education opportunities at no cost to health care professionals.
