Overview
TheSparkleEffect is working to help other high-school kids form their own special-needs cheer teams. The experience that comes from creating something like this changes the lives of all involved. It makes inclusion the "new normal" for the participating school, a spirit that spreads across the entire neighborhood.
Project plan:
Print "quick-start" kits for students interested in forming a team.Hold workshops at regional cheerleading events.Secure wholesale pricing for uniforms and supplies.Seek matching grants to extend the positive impact across the country.Offer local start-up teams matching grants to extend contributions from local groups.Establish a contest to encourage teams to submit videos of their routines, illustrasting success in action.Promote nationally.
By distributing our quick-start kits we can help knock down barriers that could block formation of teams like our Sparkles. Matching grants will ensure that anyone can participate regardless of financial factors.
