Overview

The "Tour de PoP" (TdP) series transforms raw spaces in underserved communities into interactive 1-day art galleries.   TdP will offer art classes, installations, fashion exhibits, and live music--all by local artists.  Visual artists will help residents create a mural for their neighborhood. TdP will promote the work of independent artists, engage underserved communities, and use the products from its workshops to beautify the respective neighborhoods.  At TdP, artists will sell their work, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the TdP Grant for Emerging Artists.

Deliverables:

  1. 4 art installations, minimum 4,000 attendees
  2. 120 artists participants
  3. 20 art workshops offered to community residents
  4. $15k in donations raised from venue & online sale of work by participating artists
  5. 10 Local/National press mentions: NY Times, FADER, Philadelphia Inquirer, Village Voice, Paper Mag, Atlanta Journal Constitution, Washington Post, 215 Mag, TimeOut NY, Daily Candy
