Overview
SHOW was originally created in 2009 to inspire students to improve their grades and attendance at Chicago Public Schools (CPS) by motivating them with a free ticket to a Kanye West concert. In 2010, SHOW has expanded to seven CPS schools in our second year and we have connected members of SHOW directly to the schools, engaging student leaders at each of these schools. By adding behavioral requirements to the goals, we hope to achieve higher graduation rates that can potentially impact the success rate of a given student's life. As our success with SHOW continues, we hope to use SHOW as a model for other school districts nationwide. Based in Chicago, we plan to create other SHOW groups to work with us and carry out our legacy. SHOW deeply cares about high school students and each life impacted brings us that much closer to our main goal-- students helping our world.
