Overview

We would like to create a safe space where we can expand programming to hold weekday after-school programming but also, more importantly, weekend programming - so that a greater number of girls can be served and experience the magic and wonder of science!

Deliverable:

- Secure SCFG space / building for programming with enough space for offices, teen space and classroom space to service 50+ girls per day.

- Create a teen space for our Junior Mentor program to allow girls in grades 8 to 12 to get together and have a place to do homework, have leadership opportunities to help younger girls with homework and experiments.

- Additionally adding a storefront as a resource for teachers and parents to keep youth engaged in science with experiments, kits, demos, toys and other items.  This in turn will aid in raising funds for the organization allowing us to make the space self-sustainable in the long run.

How will the 250K be Used?

$ 150,000 Purchasing/renting building or other space to establish SCFG center
$ 65,000 Internal building needs - paint, repairs, classroom setup
$ 35,000 Supplies for programming and clubs at the center
