Overview

Our Rotary Club would work with 40 other Rotary Clubs and would give them $1250 for their contribution of $500 to get them to purchase new winter coats from Operation Warm, a Rotary affiliated nonprofit that purchases coats during the off season and offers them to Rotary Clubs.  If less than 30 clubs participate, coats would be bought with the balance of the money and donated to The Salvation Army of Downriver and St. Vincent de Paul Societies to help.

Deliverables:
4400 Coats Purchased
35 Rotary Clubs also donate money
2 Regional newspaper mentions
2 County wide newspaper mentions
1 Regional Radio Mention
2 TV station mentions
$20,000 donated by Rotarians and Rotary clubs to match.

Last year we did a small test pilot and deployed 700 coats successfully and successfully told our story.  We are seeking a more regional answer.

The picture below shows Rotarians unloading and sorting coats for 5 communities.
