Turn Research into Reality for 1000's of girls with Rett SyndromeInternational Rett Syndrome Foundation (IRSF) 501c3

The IRSF "Research To Reality Campaign" closes the gaps discovered in a landscape analysis done of 10yrs of RTT research. It revealed that the pathway to a cure is clear, evidenced by the reversal of the syndrome in the lab. However, what we need is a facilitated meeting of top minds across similar rare diseases to answer the question of how to do this in humans. Our meeting in March 2011 invites this think-tank level discussion. IRSF will fund multiple investigators in both academia and private industry that promise to work on the specific drug discovery targeted outcomes identified at this meeting. A genetic disorder, by 18 months of age, robs a seemingly healthy girl of her ability to walk, talk or care for herself, and she  goes on to suffer additional symptoms like seizures, breathing difficulties and scoliosis.Every 2 hours a girl is born with RS.Time is of the essence!
