Overview

Our mission is to provide Red Cross Health & Safety certification training to low income individuals.  These life-saving/job skills will better prepare individuals to handle emergencies within their families and communities.  These are life-saving/job skills that low income individuals might not otherwise be able to obtain.  Scholarships would be available for CPR/First Aid training and Babysitter training courses held within our local Red Cross chapter area.  Recipients would be identified through local community partners using low income case management guidelines.

CPR/First Aid training is designed to give individuals the knowledge and confidence to respond in an emergency situation with skills that can save a life.

Babysitter training gives 11 to 15 year olds the skills and confidence to safely and responsibly care for children and infants along with a life-saving job skill.

Our goal is to certify 525 individuals in CPR/First Aid and 400 youth in Babysitting.

How will the 50K be Used?

Budget Notes: In order to achieve the goal of training 925 individuals within a 12 month period, it is necessary for our chapter to hire an additional certified CPR/First/Babysitter instructor.
$ 21,000 525 CPR/First Aid scholarships
$ 16,000 400 Babysitter scholarships
$ 13,000 Administration (instructor fees and printed material)
