Overview

Minority Information Outreach (MIO) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide eco-friendly computer implementation to low-income families in the Portland Public School district.  Technology resources don’t reach into many homes where they’re most needed.  Many families do not have the money to own a home computer.  The result is a disparity between student learning in the academic environment and furthering the student’s progress at home. We also receive refurbish computers and recycle them back into our neighborhood community to decrease our electronic waste in our landfills.

Deliverables:

2,500 computers to low-income students in Portland Public School District.

Host 25 lunch and learns for students who recieve computers.

How will the 25K be Used?
