Overview
The revitalization of the Old Village School has been a project of passion for the past 12 months. All renovations have been bootstrapped to this point. So far, we have completed the construction of a yoga, pilates and tai chi studio that sees as many as 100 students/week. Additionally, we have provided rent and utilities assistance to 6 woman-owned businesses that provide many different services to the community, including: Reiki, Massage, Photography, Pilates and Music for Children. In order to complete the project and fulfill the vision of creating a wellness destination for the community, we want to complete the final improvements to the building to improve the handicap accessibility and energy efficiency of the property:The funding from the Pepsi Refresh Project will allow us to:1) Replace the front doors and add handicap ramps to the front of the building2) Replace the old boiler (1968) to improve the energy efficiency of the building
