Next American Vanguard is the only annual conference dedicated to enlightening, supporting and inspiring the next generation of urban leaders. This annual convening brings together the country's best and brightest 35-and-under urban advocates each year to learn about each other's work in areas such as affordable housing, community development, environmental justice and transportation alternatives. Working in cities ranging from Milwaukee to Chattanooga to Anchorage, the Vanguard members come to the event to get new ideas to bring back to their communities, develop cross-country relationships and connect to experts in their fields. Only in its second year, Next American Vanguard is already one of the scouting grounds for America's future change-makers and thought-leaders. Next American Vanguard ensures that young people are providing the momentum for greater social, economic and environmental sustainability in their cities — and learning how to affect change for themselves.
