Overview

The Naperville Woman's Club renovation project ensures numerous social and community charities have a place to work and meet. The Woman's Club opens its clubhouse to a local theater group, an Alcoholics Anonymous support group, art classes and other community organizations. Hundreds of young artists and writers, as well as adult performers and artists, use the clubhouse as a place to showcase their art. Money raised from the Woman's Club events benefits worthwhile charities and provides scholarships. Some of the charities that have received donations over the years include: Ecumenical Adult Day Care, Family Shelter Services, local food pantries and many others. The clubhouse is a building of architectural significance but needs major repairs. A vote for this project benefits two items: 1) Numerous community organizations have a place to work and meet 2) the historic old stone church building is preserved for its second century of service.
