Goals
- Engage More Americans in Citizen Service
- Demonstrate the Effectiveness of Service & Volunteer Programs
- Advance Service as a National Solution
Overview
myImpact.org seeks to refresh service by extending our social media pilot program nationwide, to service organizations and volunteers around the country. A Pepsi Refresh grant will fund technical development of myImpact.org past the pilot stage, allowing for additional features and functionalities including SMS Texting, Facebook connect and integration with other social networks. Set to launch in February 2009 with four to five pilot organizations, myImpact.org will allow volunteers to share their stories of service and demonstrate their impact. By using myImpact.org to answer the simple question “What Is Your Impact?”, volunteers will be able to share their experience, connect with others serving and inspire their peers to become involved.Deliverables:Grow pilot program to a nationwide launch by end of 2010Grow users to over 20,000 citizens in service by end of 2010Engage over 5 large national partner organizations
