Overview
Bedford High School sits at the epicenter of the nation's unemployment and obesity epidemics. As we lose more auto industry jobs each day studies reveal that our region is increasingly at-risk for obesity. Michigan has the highest unemployment rate in the nation at 14.3%. As a result our school district can barely afford the basics.
The Bedford High School Kicking Mules are a hopeful focal point in our community. However our athletes train in a crowed old classroom. There is no money for improvements for P.E. or athletics.
Mule Muscle is dedicated to building a weight room so 1700 students can learn lifelong fitness and our athletes will have a safe place to train. The project will provide room for expanded physical education classes. It will also renovate practice space for our state-ranked wrestling team.
Help us give students the tools they need to grow strong and give our battered region hope.
