Overview

Our plan is to develop a scenic ¾ of a mile paved walking trail accessible to all of our residents & staff. Our residents’ abilities vary greatly so several things need to be taken into consideration in order for it to accommodate the needs of our population. The trail will provide a safe place for our community to enjoy recreational activities outdoors. The trail will be paved to ensure a smooth surface for wheelchair and walkers. It will also include an emergency call system & a continuous railing for the safety of the residents. Benches will be placed along the trail & security will do an end of the day check to ensure that all residents are accounted for. A golf cart will be purchased to allow for residents with low endurance to participate in community activities associated with the trail. This trail will promote walking among our community and allow our residents & staff to enjoy the outdoors in a way that they do not have the opportunity to now.
