Overview

The "LVSS League" will be launched to engage the inner city youth of the Little Village neighborhood in something other than gangs & drugs.  The kids in this community have lacked the organization, facilities & leadership to help develop such a league, but the HEART is there.  There have been attempts to get this type of project off the ground in the past, & there is interest from the local community, but finding the proper funding has been a difficult task.

The structure of the league will consist of about 150 players/mentors. Volunteers will help coordinate & organize the league.  Funding from this endeavor will pay for uniforms & equipment in addition to updating the playing field.  Remaining funds will be used to organize a 1 day championship tourny that will help unite the players, familiies & neighborhood in a celebration of the positive influences of sports.
