Overview

This summer, KLIK Radio hopes to purchase new equipment to make interacting with our listeners easier for both DJs/show hosts and listeners.  The improvements come in the form of both hardware (new computers and audio rounting equipment) and software (true PBX and phone line management software) upgrades.  In total, KLIK hopes to spend $6,000 to $10,000 on upgrading equipment and software, with the ultimate goal of receiving more phone calls, song requests, and other forms of contact with the studio.  We currently work with 20 volunteers, but our goal is to triple this number by the end of the year.  We also have a goal to reach 55 hours of unique programming per week by the end of the year, which means approximately 66 people will need to be involved with the station for producing programming.  We hope to reach these 66 people by expanding into other local high schools and charter schools, as well as encouraging people from all over the country to tune in.

How will the 5K be Used?

Budget Notes: Our total agency budget for 2010 is $12,584. The Pepsi grant will be used in combination with a grant from the Bohemian Foundation to complete the purchase of new equipment. No grants received this year will be used for general operating or program expenses.
