Overview
"Stock Kishwaukee's Library Shelves": I intend to collaborate with teachers, students, parents, and the principal of Kishwaukee Elementary School in Garden Prairie IL to come up with an exciting, uplifting, and appropriate list of books to be purchased. These books will be stocked in the school library for generations to enjoy. There isn't a public library in our rural community, and we are planning to open the library to the students during the summer months to continue to inspire students to read daily. In addition, I would like to start a book club and introduce it as entertainment. I wish to teach the children that books are a great tool when dealing with life stressors. How exciting it would be for the children to have new book choices, focusing on great literature, available!
