Overview
The project includes the creations of a culturally diverse Women’s Center for underserved communities. Centers provide shelter for those in domestic violence situations and a transition home for those seeking a safe space to create change.
Engaging with the families through support, counseling, and legal services, new beginnings are possible. Culturally diverse Women’s Centers provide the place.
Sensitive to the specific needs of immigrant and rural communities, center will be able to engage with communities, too often left out. As families struggle with the loss of jobs, family conflicts have increased as have cases of domestic violence. By voting for the Jakara Movement, you will make sure that a safe place is ensured in underserved communities.
