Fund ICOMPETE program for children in Palatine,ILICOMPETE

The goal of ICOMPETE is to provide a safe environment for at-risk youth which includes educational, social, and recreational activities. Many elementary age students in northeast Palatine have been identified as not being involved in any extra curricular activities and would benefit from this type of program.  Many of these children live in areas where noise, gang activity, and loitering are the top causes of concern for many of the residents. Children need safe alternatives. We have reached out to 486 children and our goal is to reach the 2,000 children that live in that area.  Our programs are free or at a reduced cost to ensure that all children in the area can attend.  We utilize volunteers  community and each of the collaborating agencies brings its strengths to minimize cost and maximize efficiency. To ensure that we can continue programs and increase our numbers we are in need of money for more space, transportation, and field trips.
