Overview
This project will replace or revamp much of the technology of the Genesius Guild’s outdoor theater space. Most of the equipment is 25 to 50 years old and is either unsafe or not practical today. As a training ground for high school students in both technical theater and acting, it is now critical to make these upgrades. The project focuses on lighting, recording equipment and a stage extension.
The project will include a complete rebuild of the 1960s lighting system. The project implementation will provide a unique experience for high school interns and ongoing, we will be training students on equipment that is safe and current.
Step two involves the recording and archiving of the work of this group by replacing the 1970s recording equipment. This will position the group to teach students video (and audio) skills.
The final part of this project will extend the stage. This works along with the technical upgrades and allows for more actors to be on stage.
