Overview
In the summer of 2010 GAYA will sponsor the Atlachinolli Ceremonial Run, running with the sacred fire and water elements. Their will be a strong emphasis on the critical situation of our planetary waters and the fragile state of our earth. This year we will use bio-diesel buses, plan zero waste events and give ecological demonstrations, to leave a living example of our commitment to our Earth. The run will take approximately forty four days and will pass through more than twenty two different indigenous territories and major cities beginning in Tenochtitlan, Mexico City and arriving in the heart of the Lakota Nation in South Dakota, USA.
The energy of the run brings inspiration, unity, hope and strength in a time of great challenges. It empowers the people of these nations to continue working to keep their traditions alive and inspires all who participate to return to a more respectful and sacred way of living.
