Goals

  • : This program is to help researcher looking into treatment of Gulf W

Overview

After years of the National Gulf War Resource Center going to many meetings of the Department of Veterans Affairs Research and Advisory Committee on Gulf War Illness and after hearing many of the researchers tell of how hard it is to get a large enough population of Gulf War Veterans for their research, We believe that this program is long over due.  With this operation we believe that we will help to bring about treatments that will improve the quality of life for the 200,000, or so, sick veterans for the gulf war.

Criteria:  In order for a veteran to get aid in this program; the veteran will need to apply for it when they apply for a treatment research program.  The research study must be approved by either the DoD or the VA.  In order to get the most numbers of veterans to these studies, airline tickets need to be paid for by the veteran five weeks before travel date.  This is when tickets are the cheapest.  This program will not pay for any meals.

How will the 250K be Used?

Budget Notes: This will not cover office space or any of our current operational needs. Our office is and website is an in-kind donation from Bossler/Brown Employment agency of Topeka. No board members will be able to use this funding
