Overview
The Community Foundation envisions that the Fergie will be a multi-purpose building serving the needs of a wide range of people. There will be a computer center open to the public with wi-fi service, (computers and workstations have already been donated), a discovery center with interactive displays related to the geology, forestry, and agricultural aspects of the area, a welcome center for visitors, and displays from the Willow Springs Genealogical and Historical Society all on the first floor. The second floor will be used by the W. S. Arts Council to display art works from area artisans, for meetings and events, and for education and training classes. In addition the office of the South Central Ozarks Manufacturing Alliance will be housed in the building. SCOMA was organized to provide services to local entrepreneurs to help them start a new company or improve the business practices of an established company in order to generate additional job opportunities for the local workforce.
