Help families of children with heart disease.Erika Kate Foundation

The Erika Kate Foundation provides direct assistance to families of children with life-threatening heart disease.  With this $50,000 grant, we can provide assistance for up to 50 additional families across the nation. 

Types of aid include:

-rent or mortgage payments

-utility payments

-transportation costs

-emotional or spiritual support

-parking and dislocation expenses

-grocieries and meals

-temporary housing

EKF understands that while parents are experiencing their greatest emotional challenge ever, they can also be faced with the enormous financial burden of medical care and dislocation expenses. Parents often exhaust their paid time off from work, take an extended leave without pay, or suffer termination from their job while expenses at home continue growing. EKF wants to help ease this financial burden to enable parents to focus on what matters most, their child.
