Refresh classroom libraries in public schools across America.DonorsChoose.org

DonorsChoose.org will turn $250,000 into $500,000 worth of classroom library improvements in public schools across the country.

Here's how it works: teachers across America have posted classroom project requests on DonorsChoose.org.  Library project requests range from a set of Clifford books for a 2nd grade class to a new carpet for a library in a 5th grade classroom.

We will apply the grant to fund 50% of any classroom library project across the country, giving first priority to high poverty schools.  Citizen philanthropists will donate the remaining dollars needed to fund the projects, directing resources to twice as many public school students!

Vetting every classroom project request submitted by teachers.Purchasing the classroom materials and shipping the items directly to the school.Providing thank you letters, photos, and a cost report showing exactly how every dollar was spent.
