The Detroit Area Diaper Bank has been able to collect and distribute over 95,000 diapers and incontinence supplies to our partner agencies since our launch at the end of April 2009. But we're barely scratching the surface of the need and are very rarely able to fulfill each partner's entire request. Having additional available funds will allow us to purchase diapers in sizes we (and our partners) go through the most quickly, which are typically the larger sizes and pull-ups.  It will also allow us to buy the sizes we may not receive from a diaper drive, but that our partners need.  It will also help us continue to help our partners even during the "slow" times of the year when donations tend to slow down (right after the holidays, during the summer, etc.).  Most importantly, it will allow us to work w/additional orgs working w/families in need and reach more people in SE Michigan who otherwise have no resources for a healthy change of diapers.
