Overview

We'll use $50,000 to launch Stand and Deliver, a six-month process focused on improving education in Chattanooga, TN, culminating in two citizen summits and a family of projects backed by locals.

We'll produce and distribute guiding materials: video interviews, infographics, and best practices. We'll use these to pull 1000+ people in for two 24-hour summits in October. With expert help, citizens will pitch projects they'd like to champion or join asset-mapping groups to identify opportunities. During the second summit, residents will take action.

Stand and Deliver combines several models for civic innovation, including Stand, a visioning survey that engaged 25,000+ people; 48Hour Launch, a rapid-fire event for launching new companies; and Bring It Together, which champions the renovation of overlooked spaces. These projects are proof: Chattanooga is teeming with innovation. We just have to connect people with resources, ideas with action. We're ready to deliver.

How will the 50K be Used?

Budget Notes: CreateHere will pull salary for fellows (involved in planning, distribution of materials, volunteer coordination, etc.) from our own operations budget.
