Provide computers for Early Childcare Teachers for trainingInfant Toddler Family Day Care

ITFDC has been responsive to the need for a professional child care work force and has raised the bar for professional standards by increasing training and educational requirements for Early Childcare Teachers (ECCTs).  We have discovered that most of our ECCTs have little or no experience with technology.  ECCTs providing child care in their homes benefit by using computers, the internet, email etc.  They can access wonderful educational tools to use for activities in their child care homes.  Access to email will provide better communication with theparents they serve and improved communication with ITFDC.  We have, therefore, designed a course for both entry level and intermedidate training on the user of computers.  In order for these individuals to succeed in the workplace they must have the necessary IT skills required in the modern business world.  Providing computers to ECCTs will help us reach this goal.
