The Christmas box project allows parents to come in and pick toys , books coloring book and crayons a game or puzzle for the family to share, and to fill a stocking for their children . I recieve referrals from a low income pre-school, grade school teachers and other community advocacy groups. Last year we were able to help a family with 3 Children who had NEVER had Christmas presents before. I run the program from Nov. 1st until Dec. 20th with appointments every 1/2 hour 6 days a week. Shopping for the toys must be done as early as possible to get the best bargains and stretch the dollars further. Most of the families I see will get nothing for Christmas except what we give.
