Overview

ARTS uses the visual, performing, and literary arts as a vehicle to create positive change in youth facing life's toughest challeneges using a three step proven methodology - heal, inspire, empower. From a bedside visit at children's hospital to providing arts-based jobs to homeless youth, ARTS system works.

ARTS will create "ARTS in A Box"  - creating, designing and packaging our curriculum, systems, policies, procedures, trainings, evaluations, etc. for others to use to create or strengthen their own programs. We will redesign our website to become a national resource center for kids arts programs, where people can download ARTS in a Box, connect and share with others doing similiar work (like American Express Open Forum), create a google map locating kids arts programs around the country, etc.

We will also create a small foundation to help others launch programs. We believe we must work beyond our own walls to truly make a difference. We want to help others help others!
