Overview
Are non-stick pans really safe? Drink water, but not from a plastic? What about Nalgenes? And baby bottles- plastic or glass? Although everyone is talking about “green” issues-even Dr. Oz-there are so many confusing messages about what’s green, what’s safe, and what’s not that people don’t know where to turn for answers. Participate in 3 live online “talk shows” & an environmental health expert will answer YOUR questions about making your home, school, office, and community safer. Each talk show focuses on a different theme (pregnancy, your school or workplace) or age group (babies, adolescents, etc). Following the talk shows, apply what you’ve learned to a “Small Steps, Big Changes” contest, where winners will be selected by popular vote for the most creative and impactful way to green your life. The 10 ideas with the most votes will be featured on ARHP’s Reproductive Health and the Environment page.
