Overview
The Mobil Algae Lab is a strategic partnership between Save that Stuff, Newton North High School, and MIT that will offer cutting edge science and engineering curriculum to schools throughout New England. Our vision is to have this 53' (tractor trailer) mobil lab spend a few weeks or a semester at each school partnering with MIT and Newton North students and faculty. The algae lab will engage students through an integrated curriculum of biology, chemistry, engineering, environmental science, economics and business of alternative energy. Students across New England, from urban schools to the rural north country communities that often find themselves with limited educational resources, will reap the benefits of this hands-on learning adventure.
