Overview

Our mission is developing and implementing kids’ self-esteem and nutritional programs. Witnessing first hand the rise of childhood obesity and poor intake of food choices for our children in Chicago. "Illinois ranks 10th in the country for percentage of children ages 10-17 who are too heavy..." (Robert Wood Johnson Foundation). XXI Century Kids 1st Foundation’s goal is to assist in minimizing this trend offering educational programs, introducing wise food choices and portion sizes, increasing self-esteem while encouraging participation in physical activities. XXI Century Kids 1st Foundation has provided over 100,000 healthy snacks to after school programs and summer camps through the Snack Smart Program teaching healthy eating habits and educating kids that nutrition is a LIFESTYLE. Chicago Kids need Snack Smart.
