Overview

A Recipe For Change is a documentary film that highlights efforts to radically transform Baltimore's public school food system.  It chronicles two years in the work of nutrition director Tony Geraci, a charismatic chef from New Orleans, who spearheads an unprecedented city-wide campaign to make school food healthy, local and sustainable. The film takes the audience inside the process of reframing the relationship students have with food: where it comes from, how to prepare it, what to eat, and how it effects their bodies and their health. It will also demonstrate model programs that encourage young people to train in food related professions.  It is the story of what it takes and who it takes to make positive system change in the way we feed our youth.

This documentary will be televised nationally and be made widely available as a DVD and through web-based media for distribution to school districts, parent/teacher groups, health and nutrition organizations and others.
